About Us Ralph Miller Ralph Miller grew up in Virginia reading and dreaming about Alaska. Hunting the hills and woods of Virginia was a great way to grow up, but Alaska and her big game left a hunger that only could be satisfied by being there.
In 1972 Ralph got the chance to move to Alaska with his family. Now with more than 30 years of hunting, fishing & trapping in the wildness of Alaska the love for Alaska’s outdoors is stronger than ever. In 1982, Ralph founded Deltana Outfitters with the goal of building the very finest guiding service in Alaska. Deltana Outfitters is built on a simple philosophy of honesty, integrity and hard work. Ralph and all the guides at Deltana Outfitters give each & every client 100% effort. Jim Weidner Jim Weidner came to Alaska as a young man with his family in the 1960's. He took a degree in Wildlife Management from the University of Alaska, and this combined with his more than 30 years of experience hunting, fishing & trapping makes him a knowledgeable companion and guide.
Jim has spent his life in the outdoors. Being a professional guide is not a job with Jim -- it is a way of life. You will find no one that will work as hard to ensure you a great wilderness experience. Whether your trip is hunting, fishing or a wildlife photo trip you can be sure it will be a trip you will never forget. Jim will give you 100% of his effort, knowledge, and experience. SharingAlaska and all its wonders is what Jim is all about. Curt Bedingfield Curt Bedingfield grew up in Anchor Point, graduated high school in Homer Alaska. Began flying in 1975. Received his private pilots license in 1979. Curt worked as a log home builder and commercial fisherman for several years. Went back to his true love of flying and Received his commercial and instrument pilots license in 1986. Then Curt needing a job with a steady pay check he joined Alaska State Troopers in 1988. This was the ideal job for Curt. He could support a growing family and work at something he truly loves to do,being out in the wilderness of Alaska, fly a airplane, seeing most of Alaska and helping protect the wildlife he so dearly loves. As a Fish & Game Protection Officer or (Game Warden) and pilot patrolling the Alaskan wilderness.
Curt 13 years & thousands of hours patrolling Brooks Range. He know this area better than anyone I know of. Curt is a very safe polit and a hard worker. With many thousands of hours patrolling other parts of the Alaskan wilderness. Curt is also a Licensed Guide here in Alaska. He has also hunted and taken every big game species here in Alaska. With this being said we are proud to have Curt as part of our Deltana family and more importantly as a good dear friend.
